Women are less likely to get PC's, laptops, anything gaming related when they are children (even tho it has dramatically gone up the last decade)

Parents didn't prio putting girls on gaming on their own accord either (again, this has drastically changed)

And it wasn't the most usual hobby for a girl pre 2010 -> kinda frowned upon from other kids if a girl played games -> less likely to start gaming

I would say still 5-10 years and the scene will be completely different!
