.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
Riyazuddin Mansoori. Plz read this name again. He saved eight lives in Delhi hotel fire.
Mansoori n his son Arman, took out 20-25 mattresses from his shop n kept outside window of the hotel where fire broke out. So that people stuck inside could jump.
Eight people could save their lives because of Mansoori family. He didn't think about loss of a few lakhs of mattresses.
He himself might don't want to boast. But this is for everyone who try to criminalise every act by Muslims.
Everyday, somewhere in the country, Muslims are mercilessly killed without an iota of hope for justice. These killings never make prime time debate, their killers easily gets bail and soon everyone forget them. This is how cheap Muslim blood has become in India. @FoejMedia
Siwan Police has sent a legal notice claiming my report on Shahzad Ali's killing is "misleading." Yet the main accused, Avadh Kishore Chaudhary alias Sanjeev Siwani, has still not been arrested.
A young man is dead. His family is demanding justice. One arrest has been made, while key accused remain absconding.
Journalism is not a crime. Reporting on a case of public interest is not misinformation. The priority should be ensuring a fair investigation and bringing all accused to justice, not intimidating those raising questions.
A Muslim man was allegedly beaten to death by a mob in Siwan, Bihar. There is no national outrage and hardly a word even from Muslim leaders.
The silence is striking. We saw the same pattern in the Roshan Khatoon case.
In less than three months, one family has lost two sons. Two women have been widowed. Several children have lost their fathers. Yet there is no public debate, no prime-time coverage, and no widespread demand for accountability.
One cannot help but wonder how different the reaction would have been had the victim belonged to another community and the accused to a different faith.
Who will speak for Bihar's Muslims when their stories fail to make headlines?

🚨BREAKING: A Palestinian girl in Gaza wore her orange Eid dress, waiting to celebrate Eid al-Adha with her family. Minutes later, an Israeli missile struck their building, killing them all.
10 Palestinians were killed and dozens of neighbors injured in the massacre.
Ahmedabad police has responded to allegations of custodial torture leading to Zaheer’s death. They denied that he was beaten in custody, claiming he was admitted to the hospital without any visible injuries or signs of torture. Police further alleged that his condition deteriorated after his wife gave him medicine while he was lodged in police lock-up.
Does this add up?
Before his death, Zaheer had alleged that police personnel assaulted him in custody. In a video recorded before his death, he claimed that officers beat him, pulled his beard, kicked him in his private parts, and demanded money as a bribe. In the video, he also specifically mentioned an officer named Akshay.
A judicial inquiry has been ordered to investigate the death, police added.
This is beyond horrifying.
New data shows Israel has killed over 680,000 Palestinians in Gaza.
Among them:
• 380,000 infants under 5
• 99,000 children over 5
That’s 479,000 children murdered by Israel.
Israel isn’t “defending itself.”
It is wiping out Palestinian life.
A High Court in India has declared a 600 year old mosque as a temple!! 🤦🏻♀️ The Kamal Maula mosque is dated by inscription btw, it's name Bhojshala is a 20th c misnomer. I had made a video in English (https://t.co/itk2pFTUim) long back explaining the history, Hindi video will be out in a couple of weeks!
This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: https://t.co/aMMHId49OO

A 16-year-old Muslim boy, Ayan Saifi, was stabbed to death by assailants, a video of which has surfaced. He repeatedly pleaded, "Save me, brother, save me."

A 16 year old Muslim boy lynched in Delhi. Days ago, a Maulana was beaten and thrown off a train to his death. This is not coincidence, this is a pattern of hate crimes against Muslims. Fuelled, enabled and normalised by BJP’s poisonous, divisive politics.
Will the Hon’ble Supreme Court take cognisance of hate crimes against Muslims in India? How many more must die before this country wakes up?

16-year-old Ayaan Saifi was stabbed to death in East Delhi’s Trilokpuri, with his family alleging a targeted attack over a dispute he had no role in. His family said he was chased and repeatedly stabbed inside a park.
Ayaan was the only son, the sole support of his mother, studying while helping her with daily work. “I have lost everything,” his grieving mother said.
