@agordonreed No. The way to attract young fans is to invest in youth baseball programs - kids are being priced out of the game w private, travel leagues etc. Long run strategy, but it's true. Folks who love the sport don't really care if a game is 3hr+/a pitchers duel.

This recent news of the adoption of a universal DH has me heated, to say the least. I, like Crash Davis, am vehemently against it. Especially since its inception in the 1970s was to raise attendance and, thereby, financial profit. #theDHisdumb
