@GTA6_HQ I got a feeling cyberleeks are most likely fired Rockstar employees that were let go because the company had to meet with investors payback and remain as a profitable company. Its the only explanation to this, its all looks and feel like a revenge to exploit Rockstar.
You don’t own your movies, your games, anything.
It’s all a license they can take away at any given point for any given reason.
That’s why they are dismantling physical, that’s why the lobby meets with lawmakers 13 days before responding to us or lies in the Senate.
@SteamGamesPC Hey free steam games I know you guys are trying to stay relevant by posting every single day but can you guys stick to quality and post some real meaningful games? You guys sometimes post free games that don't even relate to steam.
@iRazeTheSun@IGN That may be, but Sony also holds record deals from music they make and hold collateral on their holdings, not to mention when Sony losses net income they will simply fire employees cover losses and still remain profitable, which is the same move Xbox did just a few days ago.
@SteamGamesPC You guys forgot to add the PSP they used UMD's those were tiny disks the PSVita also kinda counts because they were physical and the first to go from disk to chip. Not to mention those are Playstation products.
@SteamGamesPC Its 78% because they are forcing people to buy digital more. If you are a provider and you are in control what you make and sell of course their data will be based on that fact, if Sony made only physical copies their data would 100% purchases would be physical. Its common sense.
@PlayStation Wow, look at the prime example of digital copies, you put up a store to dedicate digital copies, but when the volume goes down, you pull the plug and take it away, then use licensing as an excuse to get away with it, then attack us when we pirate it after you killed it.
@PlayStation Hey Sony remember the you sold digital copies cheaper then physicals, what happened to that? And why are digital copies continue to rise in prices when nothing changed to determine the increase in value, last time I checked games are still built on code, so what changed?
@StopKilingGames@theESA This is RETARDED!! Too many laws are easily being passed to protect the seller but very little to no care for the consumer (gamers). The scale has been tipped over and it is now an unfair economy. What about protecting us for a change rather then label us as criminals.
@Dexerto I know what and why they're doing this and its disgusting. This is just a way to pave the way to bring back old games to life and charge us more money to play them again, and if we don't pay they'll shut it down again and make sure we never play it again unless we pay to play. 😤
@IGN If this goes through, this is why I never touch games that are online only. We waste money on games for it to later be shut down and if we want to keep it alive we host our own servers and if that becomes illegal, I'll just stick with my single-player games.
@Mahmud_wazeeree Technically, there is no difference, people will say so but don't give an actual logical reason. The game is stored on memory, the disk is a form of memory and digital just means you will have to sacrifice your personal storage to install the game on your HDD or SSD or M.2 memory
@SteamGamesPC Neither any of them, and the sad thing is Valve doesn't even ship outside the US and the only way to get anything from Valve is through a third-party and if you go to those places to get one, it cost 1.5-2x more than the original price and that doesn't even include +tax/shipping.
@IGN You don't need to mod the console, you just need to make sure when you burn the file onto a disk you place every executable file and data folders in the right location including the game ID number and license file is at the right place, and your console will recognize/read it.
@Toadsanime This is a problem with video games who have a publisher that is part of a public company that has stocks, soon the gaming industry will follow the Netflix formula and publish games via cloud services, mark my words. This is just the beginning. Follow the money and you see.
