When Odysseus went into Agamemnon’s office with Nestor, he said to the latter wringing his hands: “I have blood on my hands”.
Agamemnon later said to Nestor: “Never bring that cretin in here again, he didn’t sack Troy, I did. That kind of weepiness makes me sick”.
i'd like to issue the opposite challenge: name one movie with a sex scene that is genuinely wholly unnecessary and pointless. i don't think anyone can.
ASOIAF lore is hilarious because the books themselves are very low fantasy and could even pass for historical fiction at times, then you learn in the lore there's an island of Neanderthal whalers and King Kong exists and lives in a cursed ancient city deep in the jungle.
I actually really liked the costumes and set design in the Odyssey. Like a lot of the film, they seemed heavily influenced by theatrical presentation. Theater and cinema can often seem like almost opposed art forms, and it was really beautiful to see one pouring into the other.
