france banning the hijab is not only islamophobic but it’s also another way of policing the bodies of women, men have and continue to make decisions on what women can and can’t do with their bodies and it’s not okay to use anti religion rhetorics as an excuse

This performative policing epitomizes the culture war posturing of which it is a part. The contemporary right is predicated on denying the actual problems and crises of our time, constructing instead imaginary threats that don’t disturb their worldview.

One of those weird dystopian things that slipped by quietly in 2019 was 'Finn's Law', named after a Britain's Got Talent magic act dog, which means it is now an animal cruelty charge to physically resist, in any way, a service dog that is *literally mauling you*
