@BensVoicemail @jc_playmakerWNY I just did this last week been a coach since 1997 and a director off and on for the last 15 and it’s just got more and more toxic and not what I signed up for so stepped down
Right now in the youth soccer world, clubs are pushing national exposure like crazy. Parents are focusing on what national platform the club competes in, when they should be focusing on development. Nothing like watching a U13 team spend all this money traveling to compete on a national platform when they couldn't even win their local league. Parents - my advice is put on the breaks, take a deep breath and wait until your son/daughter is older. No need think about it at 12 years old.
- Research shows 70% of kids quit sports by Age 13. Often due to overtraining & pressure, which are common in national-level platforms.
- Early specialization on national platforms increases risk of overuse injuries.
- National platforms often prioritize competition over development. One could even argue that this is hindering the development of players.
- Delaying national participation allows young players to develop in a low-pressure environment, creating a love of the game and reducing early drop-out rates.
- The financial burden of national platforms is so high that many of the best players cannot afford to join!
- A study of NCAA D1 athletes found that 83% of athletes played mulitple sports in high school compared to only 17% who specialized.
Again, enjoy watching them and allow them to be a kid and enjoy playing the game when they're young!
@SiriusXMFC@TMeola1 Think they need to get him some players this transfer window to fit his style. Problem with just changing his style that’s what ETH did and then didn’t get his first or even second choice players in the windows and never worked either and look what happened to him.
@DorionPhil@WordDamage @EliBWA_ @w0ahkris It’s in the right place but generally if you have to use a tourniquet the chances of saving the limp below it goes down cause your cutting all blood off below that point. Necessary for one’s survival so they don’t bleed out but often leads to loss of the limp
@stewartflaherty Yes he has to hold HIMSELF to his. I’m not saying what he did was right at all. I’m saying if I was the Ref after the match I shake any hands of players/coaches that come to me and he the professional person I demand out of myself. He’s getting dragged for his actions too online
@SAFCFanCast@SanAntonioFC Didn’t like watching the style of play in previous years as it was ugly but did win a lot. Feel like they abandoned the way they win, now look disorganized, no clear playing style or game model and not winning… not a good combo.
@stuholden The amount of people on here saying foul cause he made “no play for the ball” is shocking learn the laws don’t teach players to tackle the ball anymore. charge the body cause you win the body you keep the ball. Laws says be in playing distance to ball to physically charge
I would like to announce my commitment to The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I want to thank God, my family, friends and teammates. Thank you @sacitysc@Steele_Soccer@AdrianoAllain1@SimplySoccerSA@BavisDryan for supporting and developing me as a player and person.
