no one talks about how draining it is when your mood constantly switches between "keep going, it will get better" and "i can't do this anymore, im about to give up." it's like living in emotional whiplash. one hour you're hopeful, the next you're spiraling
how do you tell someone “i’m not ignoring you i’m just disconnected from reality right now and the days are all blurred together and i feel completely apathetic towards everyone/everything around me so it’s really hard for me to maintain a conversation” without saying that
The Driller Bot from #Transformers Dark of the Moon was the most complex asset ILM had done for Transformers by that point. It had 70,000 individual parts, over 7x more than Optimus Prime.
This sequence where it is crushing the skyscraper took 288 hours per frame to render with all of the reflections and simulations.
During the last weekend, ILM used their entire render farm, amounting to 200,000 rendering hours per day which is 22.8 years of rendering time in 24 hours.
