@Tonyman21001@rwtrask Lest we forget, the Habs already got a first-rd for taking Monahan, and could get another for moving him. Might be the greatest trade in Habs history, though his excellent play might have moved Habs out of the top-10.
Today is a celebration of what @SankoffandHein created & everyone who poured their hearts and souls into @wecomefromaway. An extraordinary legacy has been established in telling the stories of Appleton, Gambo, Gander, Glenwood, Norris Arm, Lewisporte and the plane people. 💙💛

Congratulations to the @CanadiensMTL on a hard fought victory last night, and for earning a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals!
They were powerfully led by Carey Price, who consistently shows us what First Nations can do.
AFN honours all residential school survivors and Phyllis Webstad for her leadership and advocacy. The National Day for Truth & Reconciliation will help build awareness & understanding of our shared history and the respect and action required for our shared future. #OrangeShirtDay
It turns out that's not how Scheifele reacted at all. He called his 4-game punishment "pretty excessive". That's only true if Evans comes back before him. Otherwise, he should be out as long as the player he deliberately injured, which is what the NHL determined was his aim.
Not a modicum of regret or remorse from Scheifele. The bulk of his press conference was about the misery his own family is going through with hardly a mention of Jake Evans and his family. So much for being a "character guy".
The Canadiens are partnering with the First Nations Education Council to organize a shoe drive for local organizations that work with Indigenous communities.

Mass graves, forced sterilization, birth alerts, coerced assimilation, the destruction of our lands, and a child welfare system that thrives off of increased child apprehensions.
While lots of positive work has happened in recent years, this is the Canada we live in. #cdnpoli
For those that say just a bad ending...it started with horrible decision by Scheifele! Lengthy suspensions only way to alter the culture. Please stop blaming Victims.
This #IndigenousHistoryMonth is especially important to mark, as we honour the #215children. We must reflect on these atrocities that First Nations have faced.
But let's remain hopeful, optimistic and forward-looking. First Nations have so much to give and teach.
