For years, the Ecuadorian government, environmental activist groups and calculating lawyers have used images of oil pits, spills and indigenous peoples in the Amazon to mislead the public and pressure Chevron into settling a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against the company. Rather than give in to these tactics, Chevron has exposed the lawsuit as a fraud and held the purveyors of that fraud accountable.
