San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge opened to traffic #OnThisDay 1936. Actually two bridges joined by a tunnel, originally they carried both road and rail. The Eastern section was replaced in 2013.

Perhaps I will consider setting up a small ko-fi link to see if people want to contribute to paying for a year of IFTTT pro to keep this up. Otherwise, this will be the last tweet for the time being.
