@arielhelwani Said this b4 the fight and its what he did. Ilia no respect walked forward and gave Justin the fight he wanted.
Ilia is -500 for predictive rematch odds. Even Vegas knows
Its not a skill thing for Ilia now, he was on pace for goat talks, it’s whether he can bounce back mentally
@joannadangerfd Watch every other fight he keeps distance and sets stuff up with feints and jabs. Last night the second the fight started he walked right into Gaethjes face and stood there. 0 respect, worst strategy ever against Gaethje
How much I like each UFC champion:
🇲🇲Van: 9/10
🇷🇺Yan: 10/10
🇦🇺Volk: 3/10
🇺🇸Gaethje: 0/10
🇷🇺Islam: 0/10
🇺🇸Strickland: 2/10
🇳🇿Ulberg: 5/10
🇫🇷Gane: 8/10
🏴Aspinall: 1/10
To a tee. Ilia overlooked Justin completely, walked right into him trying to get a finish round 1. No respect no setups no movement.
Can’t just have a fire fight with Justin Gaethje.
Watched back some fights before ufc 250 main event
Here is my opinion on Justin’s best (and maybe only) chance of winning.
Get Ilia to fall into the chaos/fire.
Everyone bashes JG for dippin his head, but hes often baiting you. Sometimes he’ll even pretend hes hurt during it
On paper its a bad habit, but its hard to punch him clean & when he rises he sneaks shots up with it
Im picking Ilia but if I had to predict a path for JG its this
Is the UFC cooked?
Khamzat, Ilia, Merab, Pereira etc all gone
Ulberg, Gane, Gaethje, Strickland, Islam etc are the current champs..
Like Josh Van is by far the most entertaining champ we have and he’s a flyweight
Fun build ups to title fights may be a thing of the past😬
