-Running over a smaller area takes less money and time, making it feasible for more people to run.
-Candidates can address issues specific to their communities, & voters can select candidates who meet their area needs.

It was my honor today to sign very important resolutions the Board of Supervisors passed last week: a suite of resolutions laying out the Conservation District’s 2025-29 program of work, and one adopting three new geographical districts for King Conservation District elections.

Our new, zoned election systems will help the District spend 2/3 less money annually on outreach, saving over a hundred thousand dollars each year. That money can go back into the budget to be spent on our real strength and purpose — conservation work!
