Parents and Carers: we will be OPEN tomorrow, with the usual start time of 8.30am.

Students will be permitted to wear alternative footwear on Monday and Tuesday only, so that walking to and from school will be as safe as possible.

It has been a fantastically festive day at BBEC today! Our staff and students wore their jazziest Christmas jumpers in honour of @savechildrenuk, we enjoyed Turkey and the trimmings at lunchtime and our Grandparents & local community came in for some fun, games & food tonight!

This week, students from Year 7 and Year 8 have been taking part in reward Christmaths sessions. They were chosen because they have shown the BBEC values in all of their maths lessons and in homework completion since September. A big well done to all the students selected!

Year 11 took a step back in time this term, with a visit to Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire! This stunning Elizabethan mansion provided the perfect setting to explore Tudor history.

Before half-term, Year 9 students enjoyed learning outside the classroom by focusing on their Geography fieldwork skills. Students enjoyed fine weather while identifying the changing river characteristics along Harden Beck from Goit Stock Waterfall.
