Hot take: ZEmu IS H1.

I love playing ROTK but ZEmu is the game I fell in love with from the start. Of course there are changes that could improve the game like movement speed, ads, and other various mechanical fixes BUT the game itself is much harder than ROTK.

ZEmu requires timing, planning, and moving to the right place at the right time. ROTK engine is the fast paced version of H1 (which is really fun too) but the old way of H1 was much more strategic and harder to get a win. It feels like you earned the W versus rushing your way to the end.

I’m old school with H1 so I really enjoy ZEmu but I can also see why people enjoy ROTK as well. It’s a mixed bag of two different play styles.

This weekend is jam packed with both ROTK and ZEmu tourneys and I’m thankful to be in both 🫶

With that said - play the game you enjoy the most and have a good time.
