Is that an Ansel Adams photograph? No! The BC Archives has 4,000 of these dreamy views from Forest Service lookouts. They were taken by unknown government photographers. Each one captures a pristine vista with healthy trees as far as the eye can see.

Now retired, the Martin Mars water bombers are fondly remembered for their massive size and capacity to carry water. The bombers could carry over 27,000 litres of water to drop on wildfires, helping to suppress them.
