JUST IN: Panini responds to NFLPA ending its deal to make cards with NFL players names and likenesses immediately, three years before deal was up, in favor of Fanatics.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
The NFLPA has terminated its relationship with Panini, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!
Panini can no longer produce or sell any NFL cards with players’ names or likeness.
It’s likely that the NFL will now also terminate their relationship with Panini.
I’d expect that Fanatics is making fully licensed NFL Topps products THIS SEASON!

@TroyHeibein@WSJ I think the main issue that people have with fanatics is their purchasing of companies that provide auctions, vaults and production of cards. The only area they’re missing is grading(Michael Rubin has backed @CGCCards since they started).
@Orange__Cards IMO it definitely matters. I view cards as if they are similar to art. Even if it’s a 1/1, I’d rather have it in good condition than poor… the grade definitely matters.
