Except the NDP did rig election rules.

The BC NDP got taxpayers to write them an 8 million dollar cheque because they are a big party that got a lot of votes in 2020.

The BC Conservative got only 200,000.

The NDP also made it more difficult to fundraise large sums. BC has extremely low donations limits relative to the rest of the country and businesses can no longer make donations.

The rules are slanted to make unpopular incumbent governments harder to beat by giving themselves half their campaign spending back to them and a per-vote subsidy.

Parties that used to be small like the BC Conservatives despite now having massive public support have to nickel and dime their way into a large campaign fund.
