Being an artist and running your own business allows you the freedom to work your life around it. Having your artist goals and life goals working together helps you build towards the life you'd like to live!
Motivation is a tricky thing. One moment you may bust out a week's worth of work, the next you may not feel like doing anything. Having a long term goal allows you to keep looking forward and not get as down on yourself for not being productive or failing. That's all part of it!
