To help their students practice adding high levels of details, 8th grade science teachers asked their students create "Marshmallow Martians". 1st they wrote step by step directions for how to create it. Then they hid the original & had a classmate try to recreate their martian.

6th Grade Minnesota History: In groups, students summarized one stop on the Ojibwe migration. They made a poster that included the most important information and then taught the material to their classmates as they rotated around the room taking notes.
6th grade science students are learning about natural disasters of the geosphere. They use the process of engineering/inquiry to build structures that can survive an earthquake.
