We also explained a bit about the research project that we are doing there.
The students also saw the mineralizations of copper, mainly malachite and azurite.
We hope students enjoyed this class in the field and see them in the future in geology degree!!

Last Tuesday, some of the members of the BCN Student Chapter accompanied the students of 1st and 2nd of Baccalaureate of Institut Antoni Pous (@INSAntoniPous) to El Turó de la Enclusa (Taradell, Catalonia), where we described how geologists work in the field.

The following week, we had the chance to take a look at different samples of thin sections corresponding to different typologies.
We want to thank David Allepuz and Dr Jordi Lorca for the interest and dedication they put to organize this short course.

The past two Mondays we did the theoretical and practical sessions of the meteorites course.
During the theoretical session, we learned how these extraterrestrial bodies are classified and how meteorites can be found in the field.

We announce that we are doing the short course about meteorites again!
It consist of a theoritical part (16th of may) and a practical part (23rd of may). You will fins the link for the registration form in our bio.

Today we went to Enclusa Hill (Taradell, Catalonia) to collect samples of copper mineralization for our research project in this area.
