Slick Leonard was truly one of the finest human beings I’ve ever known.
From the very first day I joined the Pacers, he sat me down and made sure I understood the history of this team—the blood, sweat, and pride that came before me. But more than anything, he looked me in the eye and told me something I’ve carried with me ever since: always leave it better than the person who came before you.
That wasn’t just advice to him. It was how he lived. He poured his heart into this franchise, this city, and every person who was lucky enough to cross his path. He made everyone around him better—players, coaches, fans, broadcasters. He left this game, this organization, and so many lives richer simply because he was in them.
Thank you, Slick. For the wisdom, the kindness, the laughter, and the standard you set. You didn’t just talk about leaving things better—you showed us how to do it every single day.
Rest easy, my friend. You left this world better than you found it.
@pacers forever!
I remember when getting a consensual blowjob was enough to warrant an impeachment. Now Presidents can pay out $5M+ to the victims they raped and no one fucking bats an eye
E. Jean Carroll was just paid more than $5.6 million by the sitting president of the United States after a jury found him liable for sexually abusing her and a federal judge clarified that what he did was rape.
That should be the biggest story in the country today.
The president raped a woman.
She took him to court.
And she won.
