What a day to remember! Yesterday's Field Day was filled with friendly competition, big smiles, and even bigger laughs. Our students showed us that the best games are always better when you play them together.
On Friday, @BCSDCrestview celebrated nine students who earned the Presidential Fitness Award, a distinction rooted in the Presidential Youth Fitness Program and designed to build lifelong wellness, confidence, and perseverance.
These students consistently demonstrated strong character, teamwork, and effort โ and it has been a joy to watch them grow as athletes and as leaders.
Special thanks to Mr. Smith for bringing this opportunity to our students and for championing healthy habits in our school community.

It's hatching season! Welcome to the world, little ones!
Our Crestview chicks made their grand entrance last night, and we are absolutely OBSESSED! ๐ These tiny fluffballs are already stealin' hearts.
Our Kindergarteners had the WILDEST Friday! Jungle Terry visited and brought some amazing animal friends along for the fun. From slithery scales to fuzzy fur, our little learners were wide-eyed and full of questions.
What a day for our 1st and 2nd graders! Our young learners visited the Brunswick library for a special tour and scavenger hunt! They explored every corner, discovered all the wonderful programs the library offers, and learned why reading opens doors to endless possibilities.
Ms. Dotson's 5th-grade science class rolled balls of different masses with equal force, then measured distance and calculated speed (speed = distance รท time). Then they added a blanket and discovered just how much friction slows things down!
Today, @WEWS Meteorologist @TrentMWeather stopped at @BCSDCrestview to visit the students in Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Skuttโs classes. For 15 years, heโs been on a mission to share his love for all things weather with kids! When he was younger, thunderstorms frightened him, but thanks to his parents' encouragement, he discovered that knowledge is the best way to conquer fear. Now, heโs on a whirlwind tour of elementary schools, teaching kids about the fascinating science behind severe storms and tornadoes. After all, the more you know, the less scary things can be!
One of Trent's favorite things to do is read โThe Brainy Adventures of Bonobo Kid: The Rainy Day Lessonโ to students. Earlier this year, when he visited Hunting Elementary, he found out that the author of this book is none other than Crestviewโs own Mrs. Miller! Today, they finally met in person. The students not only got an awesome weather lesson (did you know that lightning is about the width of a pencil?) but also some insider tips about the book-writing process.
What an exciting day of learning about weather and storytelling!

Yesterdayโs forecast at @BCSDCrestview predicted a 100% chance of learning! @WEWS meteorlogist @TrentMWeathervisited Mrs. Miller's 1st grade class and Mrs. Skuttโs 2nd grade class to teach them about the science of weather and weather safety. For the past 15 years, he has been traveling to elementary schools to share his love for all things weather-related. During his visit, he also read โThe Brainy Adventures of Bonobo Kid: The Rainy Day Lesson,โ a book written by Mrs. Miller! Students had a great time learning about weather and what it takes to write a book! BCSD loves making learning fun!
