Buick Bukowski

just scribbling random shit about movies, tv, music, games, academia/society etc

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

Definitely my most random pairing is Billy Zane in Twin Peaks and

[Seola Quintanilla Pérez @meItingbytwice]

do y’all have “forbidden” pairs you think look alike but also know NO one else is gonna agree?

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

"The Batman" kinda feels like "what if Se7en was PG13 and also Batman"

Which I mean I'm not mad at that tbh

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

After crushing it as the female lead in both Gone Baby Gone and the good season of True Detective I think it's way past time that @realmonaghan got a LEAD-lead role in a solid mystery genre work. W casting director #Echoes #EchoesNetflix

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

Actually, switch Pablo and Arquette. Depending on vibe (comedic vs serious) maybe MC Gainey instead of Jorge, conversely Dax Shepard instead of Jackie Earle. I can't see anyone but Burr as Lars but maybe Rose Byrne or Kristen Bell if more drama+action than comedy

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

Dream casting for a Hollywood remake of #TheTrip by @tommy_wirkola

@billburr as the main guy Lars
@SarahKSilverman as Noomi Rapace's character
@jackieearle as Victor the gardener
@jorgegarcia as the prisoner leader
@DavidArquette as Horsedick Dave
@schreiber_pablo as Roy

@redditships She's an absolute monster but my main reaction to this was relief that he got his dog back at all. There was a real chance he wouldn't have seen puppo again and then this bish would've gotten away with it as well and chances are they'd still be together.

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@HayleyNJones @redditships I guess I'm empathetic towards the guy's "probably" because they've been together 4 years and started as teenagers, so they've spent almost a quarter of their young lives together... Everyone's focused on the dog which I get but the sense of betrayal for him must be devastating

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@AskPlayStation I signed up for PS5 direct about a month ago, got the email yesterday about the "event" today. I logged in right at the start, waited in the queue, and went to buy as soon as I was in. It was still sold out. Do I now need to reapply for the program and wait again?

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@skye_daddy I've been off Twitter for a minute and I'm so glad to see you haven't changed one bit 🥰

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@mccameroff I mean, again, as someone who has done ghostwriting, I just don't think it matters. If someone commissions my work as a ghostwriter, and then if I tell everyone I did it and come check me out instead, I'm not going to pitch a fit when the buyer tells me to stop doing that.

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@mccameroff @AITA_reddit Whether a t-shirt design, a novel or a rap verse, the buyer built the means to sell it on a wider scale than the designer would be able to on their own, and part of their means of selling it is having loyal fans/customers who want that personal touch from the artist 🤷‍♂️

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@mccameroff @AITA_reddit I mean it's literally the same thing as an author hiring a ghostwriter. Part of the payment is going towards letting someone take credit. If I ghostwrote a novel for a popular author, then I told everyone that the author had a ghostwriter, I'd expect to get a C&D

[This Nigga Spittin @MarxIsMyNigga]

Reading how Nkrumah and Rodney describe the way white people will always claim social progress is oppression due to their social status and it’s clear and people were making the same observations about the world decades ago that we are today. It’s a good refresher.

[Durango Savage @Durango_Savage]

@rhinosoros I still think about right when she married Musk "anti-imperialist" was removed from her bio.

[Buick Bukowski @BDebaron]

@RanDomino @JoeySteel10 @bld21344 @king_of_bob @whimsywords Why are you always responding with the least charitable interpretations of what I'm saying? Him fully providing means the excuse of "their family needs money is out." She's doing it for herself, which is fine, but he doesn't owe her a relationship

@abby4thepeople PNW is under a heat dome atm. Heat and high pressure from it push out clouds and moisture, leaving us to bake and giving our storms and cover to other places. Because CO has the next large mountain range, our weather gets stuck there. Congrats on living in OR without moving.

The heat dome in the pacific northwest is pushing cold fronts away and around itself, causing them to travel further into the middle of the US.
