Sometimes things arrive at the club that stop you in your tracks a little.

After watching the BBC documentary, one viewer has very generously sent Ashington AFC a £500 donation, along with a lovely handwritten note wishing us well for the season and the future.

Running a football club at this level isn’t easy, which was something the documentary showed, and gestures like this genuinely mean a lot.

We’ve covered the donor’s name in the photo for privacy, but we know who you are!

As of Tuesday evening, Peebles Rovers are no more.

One of Borders football's oldest football clubs have been forced to fold. The issues surrounding their hunt for a ground have been well documented, but context is important.

It's ridiculous that their ground, Whitestone Park, was deemed not to meet league requirements. The club can trace their roots back to 1888 and have played at Whitestone since 1906.

Meanwhile other clubs with AI-generated badges and websites who play out of astroturf cages are given free rein within the pyramid to do what they want. Mental.

Our thoughts are with the supporters and everyone involved with the club. Hopefully they can find a way back into the pyramid in the future.

British Muslim Rizwan Javed, who works for Transport for London on their tube network, achieved an MBE for saving 29 people who tried to end their lives.

He deserves a lot of praise and respect. A lovely man. I’m very proud of him.

Yesterday’s attendance of 1,488 set a new ground record at Woodhorn Lane, passing the previous mark of 1,447 from the game against Newcastle United Under 21s in 2024.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and for the patience shown around the ground with the queues.

The biggest thanks go to our staff and volunteers. Their hard work kept the day running smoothly. An outstanding effort and a credit to the club 👏🏻 👏🏻
