This lineup moves me:
Boozer
Foster
Blackwell
Dame
Pat/Williams
The amount of spacing in this lineup would be absurd. Don’t forget Duke played Winslow in 2015 at the 4 at 6’6. I think Dame would do just fine in a “small ball lineup”
@JAMESFROMMAIDEN I agree, but I think he’ll play spot minutes there when Pat is out. He can shoot. Imagine having 5 guys that can consistently knock down outside shots. I do agree Winslow is stronger but Dame is 2 inches taller and has a longer wing span. Dame should be playing at 200 lbs next yr
@Dukenutbro@JaredCa22763214 I def agree with the free throws. Who knows Duke could have 3 more titles if they made late game free throws.
2019- RJ
2022- Mark Williams
2025- Proctor
@CooperOshae I agree, im not saying I don’t want Rippey. I’d be sick if he wasn’t on the team next year, I just think having a senior guard like Foster goes a long way. I hope Cayden, Foster, and Rippey are all together. I think that’s the best backcourt in the country.
@anadasky So where is that veteran talent coming from next year if Caleb leaves ? And if you say the transfers then miss me with that bcuz in no world do transfers come in and become the leaders of teams when guys have been there before them. Oldest returning guy next year would be a Soph.
@CooperOshae I’m not saying he is Kyrie. but to think you can throw away a guy who has been through it for 3 years and willing to play on a broken bone in his foot. Yeah I rather have that guy as a senior than a kid that will be declaring for the NBA a year from now.
@anadasky When has a freshman guard led a team to a natty without experience guard next to him ? Rippey is super talented, I just think experience is more valuable in march in the college game then talent. If that’s not evident by now over the last 12 years idk what is.
@arrest_jack@drjack24 Each year is different. It’s more about trying to stay ahead of the curve. And right now where Transfers are big, that’s the market. When they adjust the rules, it’ll go back to more Roster building and retention.
@_CoreyRosado It’s not that I don’t want Rippey, I am just going off what I’ve seen from Duke’s biggest march runs since 2015.
2015- Senior guard
2022- Sophomore
2025- Junior
All experienced PG’s. Tell me when Duke went all the way with a freshman guard by himself ?
@drjack24@arrest_jack Nik isn’t a huge loss, respect him as a player and wish him the best. Losing Foster would hurt. Hes the closest thing we’ve had to a Quinn Cook. I truly believe he can lead us to a Natty.
@cblandreth I would like them to be. Depends on if Sarr comes back and if they can add Blackwell. If Sarr ends up leaving a potential, Boozer, Foster, Blackwell, Williams, Tranfer C really moves me. Look at Florida in 2025. 3 guard lineup.
@drjack24 Would have to lean with the second statement being true. Most likely wasn’t guaranteed the same minutes and probably more of an uphill battle for playing time if Duke lands Blackwell.
Your damn right. Because I know for a fact Caleb Foster would run through a wall for Duke. Not saying the others didn’t play hard, but when you grow up loving Duke, been in the program, gone through what Foster has gone through… Give me CFOS all day.
Duke couldn’t win the title with Zion rj cam reddish Tre jones
Couldn’t win it with Flagg and Kon but I’m suposed to believe Caleb foster and cam boozer are getting it done lmao
