@REDactionAFC I have had a couple of match ball touches over the years but one pre match incident sticks out when Arsenal were warming up at Portsmouth Bendtner took a shot that flew over the bar & I cushion headed the ball back over the bar straight into Almunias hands

@BlackScarfMarc @Arsenal Just googled it & they added white sleeves in 1938 five years after we first wore white sleeves & hoping the success of the great Arsenal team would rub of on them

@BlackScarfMarc @Arsenal Yep that sort of picture is what made me look out for there results & in 2007 I finally made the pilgrimage to see them play & I think they added the white sleeves to there kit copying the Arsenal

@BlackScarfMarc @Arsenal He is one of the reasons I get up to Edinburgh a couple of times a season to watch Hibs play,as a kid I loved a comic/sports magazine & the black & white photos of Arsenal & Hibs players obviously looked similar,Marinello Cropley connection & the old black & white TV coverage❤️💚

@timstillman_ @allyboy82 @REDactionAFC I never took that episode as masking anything to me the 100s who stayed behind to carry on singing that for 10 to 15 minutes after full time were just expressing pure love for the club & softening the 8-2 defeat out of their heads & hearts

@jslovechild Reminds me of when I worked in a greengrocer's as a kid & breakfast was often freshly cooked warm sliced beetroot with a topping of beansprout in a crusty roll with plenty of butter

@NFFC Wonderful footballer Left foot or right foot it didn't make a difference the shoulder was dropped and the pass/cross/shot was on its way,great era for football & the Forest 11 of 79/80 & the villa 11 of 82 I could name but more recent winning CL teams I would struggle, Rip John♥️

@GunnerLoulou Similar to Saka's aura of a lovely young man & a talented skilful footballer ,the goal he scored v the mob up the road in the league cup semi was enough to give him legend status especially with everything involved in those matches & then he went on to win 2 titles♥️

After Psg away my season kind of ended it deflated me to a level that I did go to Saints away but left at half time something I have never done in 50 odd yrs but I will be back next year as will Artetas Arsenal

@REDactionAFC It seems that there are quite a few older Arsenal who follow Hibs results down to the old black & white photos 60s/70s ,I was there yesterday & in 2016 at the cup final football experiences that will stick with you forever💚
