Earlier today, members of the Ogoni Peoples Assembly (OPA) a pan Ogoni organization held an engagement session with the Project Coordinator, Dr Ferdinand Giadom. The group expressed its desire to work with HYPREP to achieve set goals.

Yesterday, the Project Coordinator embarked on a familiarisation visit to the Rivers State Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Development. Parties agreed to synergise and collaborate to achieving the mandate of HYPREP in providing sustainable potable water to Ogoni people.

Today, the Project Coordinator Dr. Ferdinand Giadom visited the Rivers State University to seek collaboration with the Premier University in the actualization of the legacy projects of HYPREP. (Centre of Excellence in Environmental Restoration, Public Health study, etc).

Today, the Project Coordinator of HYPREP Dr. Ferdinand Giadom convened a Stakeholder engagement session with the youths of Ogoni which provided a forum for fruitful deliberations and stakeholder collaborations towards the successful implementation of the UNEP report.

At the coronation ceremony of Chief Goodluck Mene Ndeede, Paramount Ruler of Ueken Community, Tai LGA, the Ag. PC, Prof. Philip Shekwolo, represented by the Head of Comms., Mr Isa Wasa, informed the community of the readiness to supply them with potable water.

A Performance Review Meeting was held yesterday at the PCO with reps of contractors, IOCs, @UNEP & Mgt staff of the PCO in attendance. Ag. PC, Prof. Phillip Shekwolo, charged contractors to expedite action towards a speedy completion of the projects in line with given timelines.
