So I saw the show months ago… y’all KNOW I don’t play about Connor, so why would you think Id let that slide if it was true.

That tweet left out VERY important context.

In the show, Ilya is repressed, deeply sad, and struggling with the belief that his mother killed herself because of him being gay. But if I remember correctly, that moment in the show the video ( or rather a soundbite as they don't play the actual video) is not actually what causes her suicide. The video is just a small moment within the larger story.

If you actually watched the whole thing, you’d know that his mom was not ashamed of him for being gay. Quite the opposite.

There’s a misunderstanding with the note she leaves before her death, which leads Ilya to believe something that isn’t true.

And then, at the end of the show, he discovers that the suicide note has a back side.

That’s when he finds out that his mom had actually watched his YouTube videos, was proud of him for being himself, and loved every part of him.

If I saw that tweet I’d be outraged too but having seen the show it wasn’t at all what it’s being made out to be. She took one half of it and didn’t explain the ending which is just ragebaiting
