Statement from U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach on  the Dismissal of the Fulton County Election Case

I want to commend Director Pete Skandalakis for recommending dismissal of the Fulton County election case against President Trump and the other innocent defendants.  I also want to thank Judge Scott McAffe for signing the final order to dismiss this baseless case.

From the very beginning this was a political witch hunt that resulted in the President and the other defendants having to spend time and resources defending themselves against baseless accusations.  I am grateful to see justice served and that the President and these innocent victims have their reputations restored.  Also, because of the passage of Senate Bill 244 the President and these innocent victims have the ability to recover their attorneys fees and reasonable expenses.  

This will be a Happy Thanksgiving for President Trump and the innocent defendants and with justice being served a Happy Thanksgiving for all Americans.

I arrived at the Fulton County North Annex for the second day in a row to observe absentee ballot drop offs. I was told I had to leave the room because I was not a credentialed poll worker but I refused. Their website said this process is open to the public. Since I did not leave they moved from the office to the lobby. Transparency is a must !! Election Integrity Matters !!

The Fulton County Board of Elections had no knowledge of the last minute decision to open 4 locations to accept absentee ballots this weekend. This was not discussed at their special called meeting last Wednesday (10/30). Who made this decision and who decided to tell security to keep monitors/poll observers outside ? I will be filing an Open Records Request to get answers. Election Integrity Matters !!
