So Charles
- the space pinned to my profile he tells me he no longer controls ADA since he burned the Genesis keys
But he also:
-keeps receiving hundreds of millions of USD of ADA through all his companies to keep working on Cardano (he made threats to dreps if they didnt approve)
- makes threats that Cardano will fail if his "4th generation" new blockchain midnight fails
- and now tells us we should stop using open public town hall forums that promote free speach and instead move towards his private discord?

HAHAHAHAHAHA When i think he couldnt get more brazen

[Charles Hoskinson @IOHK_Charles]

Dropping by to let everyone know that I spoke with @phillip_pon and we are working out a plan to create a discord for a great migration of the Cardano community from X. We can have happy, positive, well-moderated channels and leave behind the drama, lies, endless rage, and embittered people for a place where real conversations and real progress can be made.

I will continue broadcasting live streams to X as I have a million followers here, but will only take AMA questions from the new Cardano and current Midnight discords. I've seen some commentary that broadcasting means I'm back on X. For those people, I can't solve stupid.

Enjoy your scandals of the week and FUD. Real work is done elsewhere. Looking forward to Cardano ascending to better days, governance, and culture.

@CSWAP_Destroy @SpentronSpence @IOHK_Charles good for you speaking out

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

@blinklabs_io @SlimFlexington @thsottiaux that was fast..

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

@SlimFlexington @blinklabs_io @thsottiaux ok 5 min in, this is really nice UI into the opsbox now, dayum and it proactively asks to set read only rules...

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

@SlimFlexington @blinklabs_io @thsottiaux gonna test it out on my ubuntu opsbox, maybe a good persistent worker

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

@roland_91_ @Cerkoryn The current perimeters minpoolcost punish delegators for choosing pools with less ADA. Not a system worth participating in. Put to zero so everybody is equal. If you have enough ADA for one block per epoch you should be treated equal, right now your not.

[$cerkoryn | dRep @Cerkoryn]

Lowering minPoolCost isn't about helping small pools for their own sake. If incumbents can't be challenged because the protocol gives them an unfair advantage over fresh competition, then we have faux decentralization.

Registration may be permissionless, but growth is gatekept.

@adatrailblazer @lace_io @realfi_co Would honestly suggest if you want to get any phone working Android or iPhone with stuff like that need to put in recovery mode update latest firmware and avoid iCloud backup sucks but will make phone much snappier and erase glitches

@TheRealWeb3Kat Sorry kat awful news, I hope you can get closure on how it happened 😫

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

before i'd wake up and 5 hours passed waiting for me to tell it to proceed, this resolves that

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

made a skill called /5hour so if i have a task that will take more usage then the 5 hour window it will add a note of what time the usage resets and send a resume work prompt 2 min after that time. this is the response automated confirms it works.

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

well you can start adding up the btc he was paid, the billions in ada, the hundreds of millions more in ada given from the treasury or "strategically acquired" vouchers. Not sure when it all stops but we cant act like he is just a single person like the rest of us. The top dreps have no plans on changes any time soon either so doesnt really matter i guess

what happens to housing from here. Do buyers jump in before rates potentially get even worse, or wait and bet that prices eventually crack because nobody can afford the loan?

You can slow new construction and constrain supply, which could help keep prices elevated but then you halt construction jobs and make the economy worse.

And then there's the wildcard: does AI/automation eventually make building dramatically cheaper and cut through some of the bureaucracy? If the cost of producing housing actually falls, that changes the whole equation.

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

well sure feels like we came to crypto to escape the system of money printing and instead in cardano we just print to IOG and its a blunt advocacy about our dependency of Charles.

Midnight is lucky doesnt have governance, they can just take cardano's treasury and say "if midnight fails cardano will too"

[$beacn @BEACNlabs]

well when i say "threat" i mean stating that cardano would NOT be complete and he would fire all the scientists if we didnt fund what he asks for how much he asks. this was just a few months ago in a post in Japanese iirc. there are soundbites from spaces you can find "if midnight fails cardano will" all while using cardano treasury to fund midnight.
