📢 Landlords: rent increases under the Renters’ Rights Act must now use the Section 13 process.
✅ One increase every 12 months
✅ Two months' notice required
✅ Informal increases agreed before 1 May 2026 do not trigger the new 12-month restriction

Every life matters.
One law. One standard. For everyone.
This is about justice, for Henry, for his family and for all our children. They deserve better.
📢 Landlords: In a sector shaped by change, understanding matters more than ever.
The landlords who stay confident are the ones who keep learning, build understanding, and stay informed as responsibilities evolve.
Good learning should feel practical, accessible, and relevant to real situations.

Usual farce at @AeroportNice - nothing to do with Brexit.
Everything to do with having two people checking passports, one who has now buggered off on his three hour lunch break.
French efficiency at its finest on display at France’s 3rd largest airport. During the Cannes film festival no less.
Quelle horreur
Surprise, surprise @wesstreeting is on @BBCr4today bashing landlords. I’ve got news for you mate, we can’t have a “productive nation” without people having homes, so if you want to tax Landlords to hell, I’d build some alternative accommodation first ‘cos you’re going to need it.
NRLA unites with The Lettings Industry Council. The new structure will see the TLIC Chair Theresa Wallace work alongside Ben Beadle, the Chief Executive of @NRLAssociation@BeadleBen#propertynews#lettings https://t.co/iOTJDPN0pJ
Our Chief Executive @BeadleBen recently attended the London Housing Conference alongside Sir James Cleverly and Lord Bailey of Paddington.
Ben raised concerns around falling PRS supply, landlord confidence and the need for pro-growth policies instead of anti-landlord rhetoric.
The NRLA will continue advocating on behalf of landlords as housing policy discussions develop.

Almost HALF of landlords (46%) are planning to increase rents as a result of next year's tax increase on property income.
Research conducted by Pegasus Insight also found that 35% of landlords plan to increase rents by more than previously planned.
The data reflects what the NRLA have long been saying: increasing the cost of doing business will only drive up rents.

A very special delivery for David Attenborough, beloved by people (and animals) everywhere 💚
To honour Sir David’s 100th birthday, His Majesty The King is supported by a cast of stars from British nature to relay his handwritten message in time for the celebration at the Royal Albert Hall.

The NRLA is calling on the next Welsh Government to rule out the introduction of any form of rent controls.
Rent controls would reduce the supply of private rented accommodation at a time when Wales is facing an unprecedented supply crisis. These measures do not address the root causes of high rents, which include the spiralling costs investors face that are passed on to tenants.
Whatever the outcome of coalition negotiations, we look forward to working with ministers to ensure Welsh landlords' concerns are taken into account.
