@livesinreality3@DoctorJonPaul that's what male means, yes, but you're conflating gender with sex. trans people don't believe they are biologically the opposite gender. Trans men identify as men the same way I do, and AGP men are not considered trans at all. Being trans has nothing to do with sex or biology
@livesinreality3@DoctorJonPaul that's a pretty insane way of looking at it. dressing like a woman for sexual gratification has exactly nothing to do with being trans. Gender is a non-physical social construct, you didn't choose yours, trans people didn't choose theirs
@livesinreality3@DoctorJonPaul to clarify, being trans and transitioning are two different things. I didn't choose to be a man, I just am, and I can't choose to change it
@SilJD22 @DoctorJonPaul if the kids are in danger in any way, sure, it's absolutely the responsibility of the teacher to prevent that. but the only way being trans is putting anyone in danger is if the parents have a problem with it
@JemmaAgain @liberalismONCMD@stet_dot_net@DoctorJonPaul when did I ever say they don't have the right to guidance?
The ban is to protect kids from abuse, that's it, it has nothing to do with hiding mental health.
So if you knew that a trans child would be disowned if their parents found out, would you tell them?
@livesinreality3@DoctorJonPaul there is absolutely no such thing as transitioning kids, you can't transition other people, and no one is pushing gender nonsense onto anyone.
Sometimes people are just trans, it happens, it's not a result of anything
@SilJD22 @DoctorJonPaul I have my face in plenty of profile pictures, but it seems like you just changed the subject from you calling someone a groomer for believing in childrens right to privacy
@livesinreality3@DoctorJonPaul exactly, the ban is specifically for protecting kids from abusive parents and other situations where coming out would put them in danger. If the parents aren't abusive, the kids can come out in their own time. Either way, it's never ok to out someone against their will
@liberalismONCMD @JemmaAgain @stet_dot_net@DoctorJonPaul if a child was in danger in any way, it is absolutely the teachers responsibility to inform the parents. but being gay only puts kids in danger when their parents aren't ok with it.
Coming out is something that should be done in your own time, not against your will
@the_grepster@DoctorJonPaul and what about the kids rights to their own safety? we're talking about abusive parents here, good parents are irrelevant because their kids wouldn't need to hide their sexualities. But I agree that the state has no right to get involved, that's exactly what the ban is for
@liberalismONCMD @JemmaAgain @stet_dot_net@DoctorJonPaul and what if you knew someone who would disown their kids for being gay, but you also knew that one of their kids were gay? what about then?
