@RadioFreeTom Fetterman is deeply unpopular with Democratic voters, maybe to the point that it’s effectively an endorsement of Platner. I have a deep distrust of Platner, so I think Fetterman should keep his mouth shut.
@davidfrum Crazy how antisemitism has prevented Jews from being adequately represented in institutions of power such as news media, entertainment media, finance, law, politics, business, think tanks etc. So tired of the hard pivot to antisemitism in the face of criticism of Israel
@KyleWOrton@JonahDispatch Are dogs in prisons really necessary? Rape accusations aside using animals for any type of psychological torment is kind of cruel. There certainly must be sufficient measures to secure a prison than using dogs to intimidate prisoners in any way
@NYTimesPR@jessesingal I’m having a hard time sussing out the legitimacy of criticisms of the article, but I’m not seeing much criticism outside of sources that are at least somewhat aligned with the pro-Israel lobby and/or the Israeli right. Are there quality, unbiased sources questioning it?
@RJavers15617@billybinion@JonahDispatch Well I’m sorry, those are fringe views, they aren’t well grounded in reality., and they leave no room for political compromise. They are straw man arguments at best
@RJavers15617@billybinion@JonahDispatch They also use low interest loans to dodge taxes and typically pay a lower effective rate in light of unrealized capital gains
@RJavers15617@billybinion@JonahDispatch Government protects private property. Every contract and agreement Bezos has profited from is with the support of governmental and legal institutions. He is a net beneficiary not a victim. Now you can say that he is paying more than his fair share, but it’s arbitrary
