For reference: I’m pretty sure the loss of grammatical gender is attributed to the Viking invasions and mixing with Old Norse. The reason the spelling changed so much between Old and Middle English is because of the Norman Conquests and the Normans fucking up the language.

@spikes_hideout Similar reasons to Afrikaans. Grammatical gender can be a massive pain, so when subjected to simplification by people who don’t have the same gender system in their language it tends to be one of the first things to go. Old English had gender, Middle and Modern English don’t.

@_VioMarks_ Boosting speed and damage makes you strong, like Unarmed. Rapier’s overtuned, but there’s no good way to nerf it, especially since most of its battles are very close. Reduce/Remove damage increase and it can’t kill fast enough, R/R Lunge increase and it becomes worse than Lance.

In light of recent events: While it appears that potion does only boost Damage and not the secondary abilities, Intercontinental Ballistic Rapier is still probably the best ally Potion can have for large maps.

@sakanaflyer I’m mostly curious about how it is going to work in group battles. Because if it can apply its ability to allies, well… Imagine a Rapier that can suddenly gain 15 Damage/Lunges.
