@mattzollerseitz You might want to give Anthology Film Archives in New York a call for guidance. They specialize in just this sort of thing. I have friends who work there if you need any intros.
@mattzollerseitz I watched Imaura’s “A Man Vanishes” this week and was astounded at how much thought was put into framing, especially since - as a doc - Imamura didn’t have complete control of blocking. And how the sound often isn’t synced with the image. Visual power/clarity is chosen instead.

@johnaugust ...to cut a common word that I take for granted, one which is almost impossible to imagine the sentence without, to force myself into considering a different way of expressing the same idea.
@johnaugust I’m cheating, but there was a Radiolab episode“Colors” from which I learned that the ancient Greeks had no concept of “blue” - the word didn’t exist for them. You can’t find it in the plays or epic poems (i.e. the ocean becomes the “wine-dark sea”) Sometimes when writing I try...

I’m probably going to wear this all summer. @jasonsudeikis and @brendanhunting I’ll happily be an extra on the show anytime. Congrats on all the success.
I got a really nice gift box from the @TedLasso team because I adore the show so much. A Richmond jersey, a mug, toy solider gummies (sans CBD), a collection of brown water packets, pink box of biscuits (!!!) and this sign, which now hangs above my office door. Thanks Team Lasso!
We had an excellent theater program. The thrill of being in that first play changed my life. I knew I wanted to keep being in the room forever. Eventually I figured out that for me it would be through writing. Hat’s off to all the wonderful theater teachers out there.
