An Instagram video by the account (casarthakahuja) is claiming that all Indian citizens must obtain an income-tax clearance certificate (ITCC) every time before leaving the country.

β Under Section 230, tax clearance certificates are not mandatory for everyone; they are only required for specific individuals under certain legal circumstances. This rule has remained unchanged since 2003, even after the amendments vide Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024.

@IncomeTaxIndia@grok@grok, my query is specifically with regard to the provisions related to income tax act in #Budget2026. Please list the income tax act related proposals/issues on which people are giving negative reactions on Twitter/X platform on #Budget2026, and why?
@IncomeTaxIndia@grok, why are some people not satisfied with the #Budget2026, despite so many 'ease of living' & compliance-reducing provisions on direct taxes? Can you list the issues on which people are giving negative reactions on Twitter/X platform on #Budget2026, and why?
@grok@Sail_Not_Row@IncomeTaxIndia@Grok that means the community note is not correct as the tweet by @IncomeTaxIndia, clearly uses the word 'speculative' in a broader sense and should be read in the general and regulatory sense, and in the context of concerns raised on hike in STT rates.
@R_N_Vaghani@FinMinIndia@IncomeTaxIndia@nsitharaman Income upto βΉ12 lakh/12.75 lakh(for salaried)is tax-free.
CG is excluded from this limit. You're presenting this as a surprise revelation for your client to boost engagement. Explaining it is why our clients hire us in the first place,not for engagement farming on social media
@dhanbir_katoch@nsitharaman@dhanbir_katoch,

Doesnt not appear to be false data. The stats at the bottom refer to all the ITRs filed during FY25-26,including ITRs filed for other AYs, not just AY 25-26. The ones on top are for AY 25-26 only,though apparently incorrectly mentioned as AY 26-27
