To boo or not to boo?
I would like to use de La Boétie's Discourse on Voluntary Servitude as a theoretical framework to show the Arsenal fanbase that it is, indeed, the question.
A thread 🧵
A month of ago, a lot of you were fine with him being sold because "Arteta knows everything" he's never wrong, skelly just ain't good enough blah blah blah
🚨 Como are among the clubs pushing hardest to sign Ethan Nwaneri this summer. TEAMtalk understands Como would be open to discussing a variety of deal structures. Newcastle, Aston Villa & Everton are also among the clubs to have shown interest in the player. 🕵️♂️🏴 [@GraemeBailey]
@AL3ki11@SHREY4NSTA I also think that Bergkamp unlocked Thierry Henry through setting an example.
Seeing everyday somebody (DB10) so talented but wanted to be the best in every single exercise made Henry reached his peak early.
@AL3ki11@SHREY4NSTA I can’t get Zlatan’s interview out of my head when I think about Leao.
I think that we also need to take into account that some players don’t have it mentally, and it’s ok.
Some are called world class for a reason.
@ddoublewinger All these chants were started by English fans during the two days I was there.
Genuinely surprised how much they sang it in comparison with other chants.
It’s the parade, and they kept mentioning Tottenham. Shame.
I had forgotten the city’s vibes fellow Londoners.
Parade or not, people are genuinely kind, patient and caring. In such a big city, I’d have expected much more rushing, but this was mind blowing.
Cherish what you have, I think you have something really special.
Creative players say "I want to enjoy when I play football".
Symptomatic of how Arsenal have the lowest possession in a CL final for 22 years; even less than the 2006 Final when Lehmann was sent off after 18 minutes.
We have a serious structural issue.
Losing the CL Final might actually be great outcome in the context of the Arsenal project, because it PSG are a better model to contextualise Arsenal's weaknesses than City (who have similar weaknesses to Arsenal).
Losing to PSG would certainly shape Arsenal's squad-building.
@Dami_Adz Bros were laughing at me on the streets after the game 😂😂
Love the banter, and love from all other gunners.
That’s peak my friend. A couple of hugs from strangers, even older people. Top.
Yesterday’s game was a stark reminder of ongoing, and unaddressed issues in terms of players and management.
Arsenal’s title put these under the rug, and difficult decisions need to be made.
Anyway, time for celebrations, players and staff alike.
Enjoy this gooners!
At the end of the day, some players really didn’t perform well. Story of the season.
We need to ship them next year.
As simple as. Incredible performance by some of our players, ghost-like players for others.
