For many kids, their teacher is the most consistent non-family adult in their life.
Same classroom. Same expectations. Same person.
Kids don’t just need that.
They want it.
Research shows that consistency and predictability support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and improve focus and learning. Knowing what to expect and who will be there brings comfort.
That comfort matters.
And teachers provide it every day.

Magnolia Heights Names Zach Suddoth as Head Boys Basketball Coach
Alumnus Set to Lead Chiefs on the Hardwood
Senatobia, MS — Magnolia Heights School is proud to announce the appointment of Zach Suddoth as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach. A 2007 graduate of MHS, Suddoth will bring experience and an understanding of Chiefs basketball to the position. As a former student-athlete at Magnolia Heights, Suddoth played under Coach Russ Whiteside's leadership. There, his love for the game took hold—a passion that has guided his journey ever since.
Suddoth earned his degree from the University of Mississippi in 2012 and began his coaching career just a few months later at Strayhorn High School. During his time with the Mustangs, he led the program to its first-ever postseason appearance and ultimately guided the Mustangs to the playoffs three times.
In 2020, Coach Suddoth returned to Magnolia Heights to coach junior high and high school girls' basketball. He later transitioned into the boys’ program, serving as the Junior High Boys Head Coach and assisting Bubba Skelton. While leading the Junior High program, the Chiefs won multiple district championships and achieved an impressive streak of over 50 consecutive wins.
“Magnolia Heights is more than just a school—it’s home,” said Coach Suddoth. “I’m honored to step into this role and lead the program that helped shape who I am today. I look forward to building on our tradition of excellence and helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.”
Suddoth is married to Lauren (Fore) Suddoth, and they have a daughter named Taygen.
