It's widely believed Stoker was closeted and used Dracula as a way to explore this and his very close 'friendship' with Oscar Wilde who's trials started 2 years before Dracula's publication. Then Le Fanu's Carmilla is just a lesbian story with horror elements 😂

@CherylLFC70 @rng8899 Yeah I've seen that! Plus just a rise in conditions like IBD or even colon cancer in younger people. Mine are due to my ehlers danlos syndrome and I know a few others with EDS and stomas

@CherylLFC70 @rng8899 Absolutely. I'm a double ostomate myself (urostomy and colostomy) and I've spoken to a lot of younger people like myself who have had to have stomas in recent years. There's a ever-growing community of ostomates so we can only hope manufacturers catch up with us!

@CherylLFC70 @rng8899 I was literally pre-cutting my stoma bags when she mentioned stomas! I'm so happy that adaptive clothing was highlighted. High street brands like M&S and Primark have done a lot recently with adaptive clothing but I'd still love for it to become more mainstream! 🥰💖
