Vollmer said first responders were optimistic about the condition of the second driver, but they are waiting to hear from the hospital on any updates to their status.
At the scene of an accident near 31st and Old Cheney, located directly in front of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the moment unclear how many vehicles were involved and the state of any drivers or passengers.
Just heard from LPD's Sgt. Vollmer that there were only two individuals involved in the accident, one in each car. The one in the less severely damaged vehicle appears to be fine, he said, and the other driver was transported to the hospital.
