Now the museum's closed for the winter our cataloguing volunteers have started work recording objects from our attics and stores.

This wonderful art deco style clock has a slot for coins to help you save for insurance. If you don't save the clock stops!

Monday is market day in Pickering. These two images may be over 40 years apart but did you know that the market dates back to the reign of King John (1199-1216)?

It's our last craft day of the season and it promises to be a good one! We've got an amazing range of volunteers demonstrating crafts and many producing objects that you can buy in the museum shop.

The sun is shining in Pickering and the Bramble Berry Market is in full swing! Set by the beck in the beautiful grounds of Beck Isle Museum and the Memorial Hall you'll find a huge selection of artisan gifts and produce, as well as live music.

@HeritageFundUK It's a three minute bread maker! You added all your ingredients into the bucket/tub and then mixed by rotating the handle which in turn rotated an arm inside the bucket and mixed the ingredients together!
