@emilymshields I asked you to use the platform you have to SAVE these young doctors because their superiors are heartless and uncaring and are quick to victimize the doctors by failing them on their study rotation if they complain. Jamaica please speak out against this atrocity.

@emilymshields Thanks for your intervention and for reading my concerns on air, as a Lawyer this is something that should concern to you as well. The doctors need your voice and your platform to bring the matter to public attention. A culture change is needed now to save them.

@emilymshields Emily this is something I know of a fact happening a UWI. The conversation must be started now. Do Labour Laws in Jamaica relate to our medical doctors? How can one expect doctors to be on call for 7 days straight, work to 5am and be up and back on the job at 8am

@emilymshields Emily a junior doctor in the advance consultant training programme at the UWI called me on Tuesday in tears frustrated because for about four days straight she got little sleep no breakfast no lunch because she had no time to eat and she cannot dear to complain.
