He lost, and I’ve never been so proud.
The first match (shown here) he dominated with a pin in the second period. Note - this was the second period so he wasn’t being rude not shaking the kid’s hand, you only do that in the first.
Then puberty reality kicked in.
The next two matches, he fought hard but lost. These were men who will be crushing it in high school next year, absolute studs. @PrestonLobliner still has two years after this year in middle school.
There is a process. I tell my sales reps the same thing as I tell my kids - “Trust the process.”
As a two time state champ, he was upset for about 5 minutes after the match. He didn’t throw a fit, didn’t complain, he was just disappointed in himself. But losses happen. It’s part of “the process”.
My wife and I had taken separate cars to get there because I was going to train afterwards. As I was leaving to the gym, Preston asked if he could join me. He didn’t have shoes, so he had his signature Cartman socks and crocs in sport mode - he looks just like Cartman so it’s his thing. 😂
To him, this isn’t the end of a season, it’s the beginning of the next season. He’s bought in. Train hard, fight easy. The only way to win is to outwork everyone on the mat and in the weight room.
Keep an eye on this kid, his work ethic will take him far.
Blessed to have @BeeBrunner in his corner. Time for @BielBryce to get this kid huge and ready for football season at @LegacyatCarbon !
Yesterday @PrestonLobliner competed at a national tournament against kids who were mostly 2 years older than him and placed 5th!
The differences were very noticeable, he looked like a boy among men.
This is the best year ever since he is no longer the biggest and strongest. Now he is forced to learn how to wrestle and he is so much fun to watch!
This is the year of chasing losses and through his hard work, he is actually winning in the process.
When he hits high school in 3 years, I have a feeling he will be competing for a state title very fast.
He told me the other day he now loves wrestling as much as football which is huge because he loves ball like no other.
Also, so much love to @BeeBrunner . He’s the guy yelling in the video and has been Preston’s coach thru both of his state championship seasons. He’s a great coach and an even better man. 🙏
UDFFL’s highest paid player is Bijan Robinson at $122/year. Ashton Jeanty’s rookie deal is expected to top it.

Sources: Donkey Balls and the 2012/13 Lakers have talked about the possibility of trading multiple players. A trade doesn’t appear likely at this time as Lakers GM @BeeBrunner confirmed to sources, “I just like my guys”.
At least one General Manager around the league believes @ChrisKRoss16 is “really making room for (Ashton) Jeanty”. The Glue Guy is currently projected to have $245 available for the draft.
