#Virginia#Democrats whined about election integrity in 2016 just to go full "we don't care about election integrity" in the face of voter ID laws and verifications.
Just be honest, #Democrats, you don't think you can win unless we degrade the fidelity of our elections.
@fallschurchgop@GovernorVA Lest we forget:
- Shuts down the state then signs controversial bills while Virginia courts are at reduced operating capacity (Limiting Constitutional challenges)
- Places peaceful protesters in cages
@BuckSexton Because those countries don't feel compelled to undermine their country in the hopes of unseating a leader who has, honestly, done a good job for their country.
American policy is being driven by pearl clutchers on Twitter echo chambers and it's a problem.
European countries that have been hit worse than America by the virus are re-opening stores and schools
Why are some places here doubling and tripling down on extreme lockdown policies, encouraging neighbor snitching, and adding new pointless rules?
Royally touched a nerve with a lot of people who believe that the only response to the fact that risk exists in this world is to shudder and withdraw from the world.
I'm OK being a pariah to these people.
@rrjr724 @thehill We aren't in this together. Look at the folks getting paid and telling you to queue up for unemployment. Look to people locked in, hoarded supplies, and told you to wait in grocery lines.
We are better than what we've been.
@carynhunt@CookE_MonstR69@thehill And there were people who went to war over the right of individuals to be free in that same conflict.
Go poorly frame your hackneyed commentary somewhere else.
@DoresSportsFan Gun sales more than tripled with the pandemic and gun violence is in the tank. Your fear of guns is more related to an irrational panic induced by media, not facts.
Further, antibody studies are showing the virus was already wide spread and not as deadly.
@SweetMittenHome @thehill We can reduce almost all dangers in society to 0 by imprisoning everyone. Would you like to volunteer? Stand with Whitmer all you'd like, just acknowledge that your choice of prevention involves sacrificing your free movement and right to assemble.
@RhondaP95396102 @thehill No one is inciting violence. Quit pearl clutching.
No one said endanger the vulnerable. The more we learn about this disease the more we realize that reasonable would have been to quarantine/mind the vulnerable but let everyone else go about their lives.
@h36_lexii@thehill I'd also refer you to legislation such as ERISA (it is sloppily written and extensive) which governs benefits plans and requirements. Very thorny for employers to offer better deals for employees
@h36_lexii@thehill https://t.co/C3ekuMLwYt
It started as a freeze. Then Obama penalized premium insurance plans. Then Dems wanted executive compensation caps for COVID response.
@JorgeMAlmeida_@thehill I would also recommend reviewing ERISA. I used to work as a paralegal in ERISA litigation. It is a very complex law that outlines benefits provisions. Its not tied to contracts.
