@NewEra_Mogul@RFC_Eagle@HendrickD82 This guy is just coping atp man. It’s the idea that football players are soft for wearing pads that I took umbrage with, since hits are objectively harder and at higher levels the speed is greater. The Irish mind isn’t ready for that talk tho. Most fun sport I’ve played tho tbf
@TBalony317@fadule_ taking back what I said about nfl guys too tall, no-one thinks linemen/tight-ends could play. For sure would have to cut weight for stockier skill guys
@TBalony317@fadule_ Small guards maybe, but most NBA and NFL players would be too tall, even at a lighter weight (for nfl guys), to be ball-playing. I'd say NBA guys are too tall to be good goalkeepers, too. I get the idea for recognizing movement, though; that's for sure applicable.
@RFC_Eagle@HendrickD82 From what I’ve seen those are with old out of shape “football players” who last played in high school. I’m not talking about them, if Joe Marler can do the same against Myles Garrett, Quentin Nelson or Aaron Donald I’ll change my tune. inside center but was a lock while learning
@RFC_Eagle@HendrickD82 I threw league out there as the more difficult to pick up bc you don’t see it often. Union would favor more with the continuous nature. They’d need time to learn to pass correctly and tackle low but I don’t think it’d be an issue. You talking about the yt shorts? Those are trash
@RFC_Eagle@HendrickD82 Rugby League would for sure take longer to become dominant in bc tactics/nous, but 7s would be a day one thing. Athleticism sets the floor so high. They’d be Nunez at first in league but could transition to a Torres in Liverpool terms lol
@RFC_Eagle@HendrickD82 Perry Bakers success speaks otherwise. It’d take time for fundamentals work and game IQ but a 2 time player of the year in 7s was a mid D2 (3rd division of college football) player. It’s not close and toughness wouldn’t be an issue with linemen/linebakers
@HendrickD82 Hate to disagree with you Dave but as someone who has switched from American football to rugby in college, the level of athletes does not compare. This is the only major sport where American athleticism would dominate day 1
@verdiv_@AnfieIdFix Grav would need to be the rotation for Anderson/wharton and szobo but that would be nice. Macca > grav on the ball but looks like he can’t run fsr
@LFC__Jack9@AnfieldEdition He’s completely washed for missing a bouncing ball at pace when it hits his ankle and ignoring the multiple missed chances by players he tee’d up?
@AnfieIdFix@Poots__ Have they been duds or has slot not adapted the team at all to incorporate them? I get staggering eki and isak until second half of the season but you can clearly tuck Salah in and still to a top two that involves wirtz as 10 and gakpo at home
@somakijana@AsalaSead17957@TheKopWatch They’ve been rotated at times but not dropped three games in a row besides for fitness with Mac. Slot is stubborn as hell.
@TheCarteI@SamMcGuire90 Fair but you can shift dom/wirtz over one or let eki put in a shift with Isak for once. Gakpo has put up more g/a this season but imo that’s come at the price of slowing everything down consistently. Idk man shits rough and I’d back Mo to figure it out
@TheCarteI@SamMcGuire90 We’ve played bad teams. Can’t convince me that Salah wouldn’t have been more effective than gakpo the last three games. He’s not any slower and it’s not like gakpo uses his size to his benefit. Also a better passer of the ball
@Bmca1980@TheKopWatch He’s had his moments fs but he’s covering for konate, a midfield with no actual solid 6 bc grav/mac, and dealing with lapses at lb (tho kerkez has been better)
