@GulagKulak@xlr8harder@xai That's correct I was a victim of that Opus 4.6 fiasco that lasted 2+ months. It's different because that was for AntiGravity whereas this is an API for production apps where developers could be facing service disruptions for thousands of users, but I agree that was also scummy
@GulagKulak@xlr8harder@xai Cite one example of a big company which turned off the entire model with no notice? Google gives 6 months notice and people are already mad at them for that. Giving 2 weeks notice is unheard of.
@neets_ai This website is literally just a trojan horse downloader where it asks you to pass some fake captcha and then automatically downloads a file to your computer. There is no indication of any sort of TTS service.
@MatthrewBurtron @PraiseAkintunde @elonmusk Wow, that escalated quickly. It's even harder for a big person who's untrained to fight a smaller person who's trained. Though I'm sure your big brain already knew that and you didn't need to be so randomly insulting. The odds could be in Elon's favor... If he gets a crash course
@MarreroFont @PraiseAkintunde @elonmusk What you say is true, but if you watch the videos it's clear he knows what he's doing and is at minimum an average black belt. Elon's size/youth advantage give him at most a 50% chance if not lower. Unless Elon receives a hardcore crash course in grappling from the best coaches
@PanyaPradith @uxcarol @elonmusk@KremlinRussia_E He could. Judo is surprisingly versatile and you can trip people twice your size if they're not experienced. You don't have to lift their whole body. Due to his size/youth advantage, Elon could have a chance only if he has trained in grappling styles for at least 6 months.
@AllPSU_Philly@Allen_TSS@JesseKellyDC This is called Pascal's Wager. It can be applied not only to any religion but even some random scammer on the street saying "if you don't give me $1 a ghost will steal all your money. If you're wrong you lose all your money but if I'm wrong you only lose $1"
@JesseKellyDC That's not what "healing the divide" means. It doesn't mean you must tolerate every fringe idea. It means realizing not everything is about left vs right. Just because someone somewhere did a crazy thing which is "liberal" doesn't mean everyone who voted liberal agrees with it.
@playnewworld I switched to El Dorado to have more fun but now it's unreliable with high queue times and even went down on a Saturday night during peak playing time. Please allow us to use in-game gold for extra server transfers
@edwardharkin@davenewworld_2 Feelings don't care about facts... Say hypothetically you're right and they proved the dark ones were stolen more; does that make it okay to treat a whole race of people as 2nd-class citizens? We avoid racial discrimination as a matter of principle, not because it doesn't work.
@CCDHate@Imi_Ahmed@Nature Censoring adds fuel to their rants about censorship. And eventually something true might end up accidentally censored. A better solution is instilling science literacy from a young age. Scientific consensus is more reliable than any media source or expert opinion. (2 of 2)
@CCDHate@Imi_Ahmed@Nature Is there scientific evidence that debating conspiracy theorists or misinformation spreaders will spread them even more? "if we scratch the itch, we spread the disease" isn't a very evidence-based argument. (1 of 2)
@wesyang There's nothing "unfortunate" about scientific progress. And, it's bizarre how you left out muay thai, karate, and Judo, just because they're Asian... as if you were trying to reverse the racial bias. What wins fights is practicing fighting and realistic sparring... that's it.
@liufengcoder17@BBCWorld It wasn't an accident, at least not the way most people imagine combat sports accidents. Do people even read past the headline anymore?
@joeyblaque33@BBCWorld I hope you didn't read the article because what happened was deliberate or grossly negligent, not a sudden accidental injury. It wasn't remotely normal for martial arts or high-risk sports.
@chudds007@BBCWorld I hope you didn't read the article because what happened was abusive and totally abnormal in the martial arts community; it's not like it was a sudden accidental injury.
