@prchovanec Guys, we transitioned to these terms 30 years ago and I’m in Texas. Firefighter, police officer, letter carrier, flight attendant, etc. No problem.
@ElfridaBrown Congratulations Elfrida. You deserve every bit of this hometown recognition for a lifetime of focus, dedication and hard work. Thank you for caring for the minds and hearts of Houston children.
@ABlinken The loss of a cherished parent who you owe your first breath and who measured each breath you took is profound. You and I are the luckiest ones…our breaths were measured by those who loved us most. He will never leave you…I promise.
@BetoORourke My parents were Texas teachers.
This gentleman triggered memories of their late nights grading papers; long hours studying for masters degrees; and how they believed in setting the best example for students.
This man deserves a government who values and sees him! #VoteBeto
@TracesofTexas My mother, the beauty in my profile pic, was 10 y/o in San Augustine that day. She may have just left the market that morning or was shelling peas or feeding the chickens at home. Point is, these pics remind me that she lived and thrived after great hardship while growing up.
@NYTnickc@ratemyskyperoom I saw your segment yesterday. Excellent reporting on Fulton Co. election takeover. Your level of detail was impressive. I was captivated and concerned.
@TracesofTexas@matthewjdowd At that moment, my mother was 5 1/2 yrs old and living on a farm outside of San Augustine. I spent every summer of my childhood there.
If you go there today, the town square will take you back to another time. I guess this is true for most small towns in Texas.
