i really hate this american act of shifting any and all responsibility for the genocide onto israel. the genocide would not be possible without active US assistance.
these attitudes are why americans are loud about palestine but quiet about the genocide perpetrated at home.
Every 1 in 4 humans on this planet live under some form of American economic terrorism; whether that's sanctions, embargoes or blocakdes. From Venezuela to Cuba, from Iran to Yemen— the US punishes and murders ordinary people every day for refusing to bow down to Washington.
Cuba Foreign Minister:
"It is an act of genocide and collective punishment... infant mortality has doubled, 12,000 children are awaiting surgery... total suffocation has always been the true goal of US policy toward Cuba."
Trump must have just learned that when Xi Jinping invoked the Thucydides Trap to his face, he was essentially calling the United States a nation in decline.
Now, Trump is trying to spin it, claiming that Xi must have been talking about Biden.
Really humiliating stuff.
Interesting how the world often treats the French Revolution as the only great symbol of freedom and rights, while the Haitian Revolution is treated like a footnote. Yet, Haiti did what many abolitionists elsewhere only preached, i.e., enslaved people rising up and defeating an empire, abolishing slavery, and claiming freedom by force. Haiti’s history deserves equal, and maybe greater, reverence.
Brilliant documentary by @AJEnglish 👌🏽
US professional sports are really useful because they constitute one of the most "vulgar" capitalist scenarios imaginable: workers very transparently create *all* the value in these leagues where ownership very transparently does *nothing* but control the means of production
