@zmanbrianzane Fuck I remember this clearly. It was Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner being made official.
I assume Tenay and West were so excited because they knew "HE'S FAT!" would happen soon.
@johnmccumber Yeah, when I was in high school, it was pretty common to have a job and buy a car. Then we all grew up and got called lazy by boomers and Gen x.
@burnedinseattle You guys are really zeroing in on the "every day" part.
I'd say the whole "rare treat" thing comes from fast food being unhealthy and should be in moderation as opposed to it being so unaffordable.
@SemperVigilant1 They'll talk about how they were able to obtain everything they had through hard work but also say they could afford nothing growing up.
The implication must be that they couldn't afford anything because somebody in their household was just lazy.
@StevieWestAgain@DrLukeWright@KCNativeSports Just so we're clear: I've done manual labor my entire adult life.
Maybe I just interact with more people than you and understand there's more to it than crying about how hard my life has been and telling kids they don't have it hard enough.
@DrLukeWright@StevieWestAgain@KCNativeSports I meant explain. I'm not even trying to argue that point.
My point overall being the economy Gen X was given vs the one Gen Z is being give.
